This September, the Palm Beach County Library System is celebrating Library Card Sign-Up Month with a special incentive encouraging members to share the library with friends and family.
Throughout the month, library members who bring a friend or family member to any Palm Beach County Library System location to sign up for a new library card or renew an expired card will be entered into a drawing for a special prize.
Both participants will also receive a limited-edition Pop-It keychain featuring the phrase “I Heart Palm Beach County Library System,” while supplies last.
How to Participate
Participating is easy:
- Bring a friend or family member to a Palm Beach County Library System location to sign up in person for a new library card or renew an expired card.
- New members and those renewing expired cards can also participate on their own.
- Everyone who participates will receive a special Pop-It keychain, while supplies last, and may enter the prize drawing.
- One winner will be selected at random for each age group: children, teens and adults.
Winners will be announced at the beginning of October.
Prizes
Prize packages are available for adults, teens and children, with three tiers of prizes in each age group.
Adults
First tier: Gift card, two books, phone wallet and chip clip
Second tier: Beach mat, teal tumbler, book, notebook, colored pencils with owl sharpener and book light
Third tier: Metal straw, lens cloth, craft kit and flashlight
Teens
First tier: Gift card, book, phone wallet, block owl and chip clip
Second tier: Picnic blanket, white travel mug, book, notebook, colored pencils with owl sharpener and book light
Third tier: Craft kit, fidget spinner, lens cloth and Dewey pin
Children
First tier: Gift card, book, wand light and chip clip
Second tier: Book, sketchbook, colored pencils with owl sharpener, rubber duck, fidget spinner and beach mat
Third tier: Craft kit, flying disc, dino pencil and Dewey pin
