This year, a county Juneteenth celebration was held at the Meyer Amphitheater on Saturday, June 17, 2023. This was an outdoor event that included vendors, music, food trucks, dance teams, and visiting families from across Palm Beach County. The Unity x Black Excellence annual festival celebrates its third year in connecting visitors with local business owners and young professionals.
PBCLS played a part of this celebration in a continued effort to connect, enrich, and inspire our community. Families visited our booth and bookmobile to register for a card, collect crafts and visit our storytime sessions. During this special holiday that focused on the emancipation and symbolic end of slavery, we successfully created a long-term relationship with Juneteenth of PBC, Inc.
