Dr. J.H. Russell Dyett, was West Palm Beach’s first black attorney and a civil rights leader who initiated school desegregation, championed equal access to public amenities, and filed a landmark lawsuit in 1956. His legacy endures through the Fulton-Holland School District Service Center.
