The Palm Beach County Library System is delighted to announce the arrival of its brand-new bookmobile, designed to serve communities across Palm Beach County. Residents are invited to the official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, October 16, at 10 a.m. at the Main Library, located at 3650 Summit Blvd., West Palm Beach.
The new vehicle, a Library on wheels, boasts a fresh and modern look. The colorful design also features Dewey, the beloved library owl mascot, with a book in hand. The playful, bold colors and lively graphics are intended to captivate imaginations and signal a new chapter of mobile outreach for the library system.
The event promises to be a celebration for all ages, with attendees able to tour the new state-of-the-art bookmobile and enjoy light refreshments. To celebrate the occasion, the Library will be giving away promotional items and holding a drawing for a special themed Library prize bag. County dignitaries will be in attendance to mark this exciting moment.
“We believe this new bookmobile will be a beacon of literacy and imagination, and we can’t wait for the community to see it,” said Douglas Crane, Director of the Palm Beach County Library System. “This isn’t just a vehicle; it’s a modern, mobile hub for connecting communities, bringing the magic of the library to every corner of our county.”
