BOCA RATON, FL – The Palm Beach County Library System invites the public to celebrate a major milestone: the 50th anniversary of the Glades Road Branch Library. Join us on Wednesday, September 10, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, to commemorate five decades of serving the community.
The Library you know and love today has a rich history that began long before its current building was established. The branch first opened in 1975 as the Southwest County Library in the Sandalfoot Cove shopping center. It then moved to Picadilly Square in 1981 before finally settling into its permanent home on Glades Road in 1991. From a small storefront to a bustling hub of inspiration, the Library has grown alongside the community it serves.
This special celebration will feature guest speakers, engaging crafts and activities for all ages. Friends and family are encouraged to attend and enjoy complimentary refreshments as we honor the Library's past and look forward to its future.
Join us as we celebrate 50 years of dedicated service to the community.
