Delray Beach, FL – On Sun, Oct 19, from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm, the Hagen Ranch Road Branch Library will host its fifth annual community fair, an engaging and educational event organized by the Library’s Teen Advisory Board (TAB).
Titled "TAB Presents: Our Town Community Fair," the program highlights the wide range of resources available within the community.
This year’s fair will feature seven local organizations and various interactive stations centered around financial literacy, including a hands-on mini store activity designed to help participants practice money management skills in a fun and approachable way.
The community organizations involved include Florida Department of Transportation, District Safety Office, District Four, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, South Florida Region, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, Palm Beach County UF/IFAS Extension (4-H), Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation, Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, Therapy Dog Unit and Palm Beach County Youth Services Department.
“This event gives teens the opportunity to lead while connecting the public with important community resources,” said Kenyarna Harden, Head of Children and Teen Services at the Hagen Ranch Road Branch. “It’s about learning, growing and celebrating the strength of our local partnerships.”
In addition, local teens are invited to join the TAB program, offered at several Library locations. TAB is a leadership and service opportunity that gives young people a voice in shaping Library programs and services. TAB members earn volunteer service hours while brainstorming new ideas for teen programming, planning special events and helping the Library better serve the needs and interests of their community.
The event is free and open to the public. Families, teens and community members of all ages are encouraged to attend.
