
Meet Steve Posti, our Health and Wellness Librarian.
Steve earned his Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) from the University of South Florida. He brings extensive experience as a librarian, having served with The Palm Beach Post and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Building on that foundation, he developed specialized expertise in medical librarianship, with accreditation from the Medical Library Association in Consumer Health Information Services. He is an active member of the Association, continually advancing his knowledge to better support the health information needs of the public.
At the Palm Beach County Library System, Steve leads the system’s health and wellness initiatives, offering trusted, evidence-based resources and programming. He provides personalized research support by phone, email and in person at the Main Library, helping individuals navigate health information with clarity and confidence. In his role, Steve also collaborates closely with local health organizations, non-profits and county agencies to strengthen community access to reliable health and wellness resources.
With a deep commitment to consumer health education, Steve ensures that all interactions are handled with complete confidentiality. He is dedicated to empowering both professionals and community members to make informed health decisions through access to quality information and resources.
