Readers and art lovers are invited to a special book discussion and gallery tour at the Norton Museum of Art on Saturday, March 7, from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
The program will feature a conversation about “Whereabouts” by Jhumpa Lahiri alongside Jane Peterson’s “St. Mark’s in Venice.” Participants will explore the themes of Lahiri’s novel and connect them with Peterson’s artwork during a guided gallery tour led by Norton Museum staff.
“Whereabouts” is a reflective and emotionally resonant novel about a woman questioning her place in the world. The story follows her as she wavers between stasis and movement, balancing the desire to belong with a reluctance to form lasting ties.
Attendees are encouraged to read the book in advance and come prepared for discussion. E-books and audiobooks are available through the CloudLibrary app.
The event is free, but space is limited. Preregistration is required at www.norton.org.
