The Friends of the Palm Beach County Library System Sponsored “Reading Is Soooo Delicious” Over the Summer

The Friends of the Palm Beach County Library System sponsored “Reading Is Soooo Delicious” this summer. For three weeks, library staff and Friends’ members visited camps and school sites in Greenacres, Jupiter, Pahokee, and West Palm Beach. The four selected sites provided free breakfast and lunch to students who live in Title I school zones.

Palm Beach County Library System Wins Tutor.com “Better Together” Contest

Grant of $1,000 for “Families Reading Together” Program

Tutor.com, the largest online tutoring service in the US, announced yesterday that the Palm Beach County Library System won a $1,000 grant for the library’s “Families Reading Together” entry in the company’s “Better Together” Contest. The popular library program encourages children from pre-school to second grade to read and fosters an environment that celebrates storytelling. The grant will be used to purchase and distribute books to local child care facilities.

Palm Beach County Library System Participates in a Worldwide Big Library Read eBook Event

Pilot program runs from May 15 to June 01 and encourages participants to join the global reading of an eBook.

The Palm Beach County Library System invites the public to take part in the Big Library Read, a pilot program in which libraries worldwide offer a single eBook to their cardholders. The program is designed to unite library patrons from all around the world.

3M Cloud Library Starting May 6

The Palm Beach County Library System expands eBook services with the addition of the 3M Cloud Library on May 6.

The 3M Cloud Library service takes a streamlined approach to eBook lending, simplifying the checkout and transfer processes through the use of the 3M Cloud Library app. To begin reading, you simply download the app, enter your library card number and select the titles of your choice from the collection. Jupiter Branch Library to Close for Renovation

The Jupiter Branch Library, located at 705 Military Trail, will close at 5:00 pm on Sunday, May 12, for renovation. The branch will reopen in December.
