Frequently Asked Questions

If you see this message, it means that your library card has expired. Most library cards expire every five years, though non-resident cards may expire sooner. To renew your card, visit the library at any of our branches with proof of your current address and valid photo ID. If you are a paid non-resident you will also have to pay your membership fee at that time.
Members with a webcam or mobile device with camera can use FaceTime or Google Hangout accounts/apps to renew their library card virtually. Please call your branch to set up an appointment. This service is currently unavailable for paid card memberships.
Yes. You can return any material to any library within the Palm Beach County Library System.
Unfortunately, we do not distribute Library Cards or their numbers through email or online. You will need to visit a local branch to have them reissue you one.
