Stay Informed & Healthy
County administration and Library leadership are actively monitoring developments related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and the safety risks to staff and the public. At this time, based on current guidance, all Library operations will continue as normal.
The Florida Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommend the same steps for prevention of the coronavirus as those taken for the common cold and/or flu.
Tips to Help Avoid Catching a Cold or Flu
- Wipe down and clean shared surfaces.
- Avoid touching your mouth, nose and eyes and wash your hands thoroughly.
- Consider getting a flu shot, especially for young children or elderly individuals.
- Whenever possible, avoid people who you suspect are ill.
- Exercise and maintain a healthy diet to ensure a strong immune system
- Consult with your doctor about nutrition and supplements that support your immune system.
- Ensure adequate consumption of water to stay hydrated.
- Stay well rested.
Limit the Spreading of Germs
- Cover your nose and mouth when you sneeze or cough.
- Use tissues when you sneeze and make sure they are deposited in the trash.
- If tissues are not available sneeze into your upper sleeve.
- Wash your hands frequently.
- Alternately, hand sanitizer can also be used
- Use proper judgement to stay home when sick.
