    DESCRIPTION: Plans and presents children's story hours, crafts and other library activities. Provides reader's advisory services for children, parents and caregivers. Conducts bibliographic searches and operates audio visual equipment. Assists library patrons in finding reference materials for homework assignments/other projects and demonstrates how to access electronic reference products through the internet.

    QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of two (2) years of college-level course work (must specify 60-semester/90-quarter hours) OR one (1) year of college-level course work (must specify 30-semester/45-quarter hours) AND one (1) year of experience working in a library.

    OTHER: Ability to lift 50 pounds preferred. Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment.

    PREFERENCE OF EXPERIENCE: With storytelling/public speaking/conducting presentations; working in library youth services; working with special needs groups. Also desirable: Knowledge of children's literature (must specify on application).
