Meet the Author: Barbara E. Mauzy

Barbara E. Mauzy, a prolific author of antique collecting books, explores the historical relationship between African- and Anglo-Saxon Americans by focusing on the use of Black images in products that are now collected or hated depending on one’s perspective. She’ll bring dolls, kitchenware, books, and product packages, which were based on preconceived ideas and prejudices. The book “African-Americana” will be on sale and $5 from each purchase will be donated to the Friends of the Library. (60 min.) Preregister.
