Part I: College Can Be in My Future
Alberto Howe of Affordable College Solutions will show students how college can be in their future. Learn to identify obstacles and barriers that could block the path and ways to overcome them. Grades 6 & up. (60 min.) Preregister. Series sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
Part II: Getting into the College of Your Choice
Parents and students will learn about the college admissions process and will gain an understanding of strategies helpful in getting into the college of their choice. Grades 6 & up. (90 min.) Preregister.
Part III: SAT Practice Test
Bring a #2 pencil and calculator and take this full-length practice test using simulated testing rules and conditions. Grades 6 & up. (4 hr.) Preregister.
Part IV: SAT Practice Test Results Follow-Up Session
Participants receive a complete analysis of their performance pin-pointing their strengths and weaknesses. Additional college admissions strategies will be discussed. Get a 2010 copy of “Cracking the SAT.” Grades 6 & up. (90 min.) Preregister. |
