Bhetty began acting at age 3, and has
since appeared on TV in Moon Over Miami, Miami Vice, B.L. Stryker,
Good Times, All In The Family, The Jeffersons, Sanford & Son, and
The Flip Wilson Show. She recently appeared as Judge Stippler in the
made for television movie, Ashamed U. Bhetty did a six-year stint as
a stand-up comedienne, appearing in nightclubs in Los Angeles, Las
Vegas, the Pacific Northwest and oncruise ships. She also spent two
years with Bottoms Up, Las Vegas' long-running afternoon comedy
spoof.
On stage she did two performances at Quest Theatre in The Colored
Museum and Sissy and The Baby Jesus. She appeared as Lucetta, in Two
Gentlemen of Verona, Snug in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Widow
Capelet in All's Well that Ends Well, and Wife of Bath in Canterbury
Tales, all with the Florida Shakespeare Festival of Nami.
With her one-woman-show, Charcoal Sketches, she expanded her
horizons. Originally commissioned by The Duncan Theatre in 1995/96,
Charcoal Sketches toured college campuses from Boston to
Tallahassee. In its second outing, Charcoal Sketches premiered at
Bailey Concert Hall, BCC Campus, and completed four performances at
the Kravis Center in West Palm Beach, Fla. The concert version of
Charcoal Sketches is still being performed for organizations and
colleges throughout the Southeast.
