About Randy Wayne White:
Randy Wayne White is the author of
the popular Doc Ford novels, which
are set in the Sanibel area. Born in
Ohio, he later moved to Southwest
Florida, where he currently lives and
frequents the Doc Ford’s Sanibel Rum
Bar and Grill and the Doc Ford’s Fort
Myers Beach restaurants inspired
by his popular protagonist. He was
a light-tackle fishing guide when he
started writing his crime-fiction novels featuring marine biologist Doc Ford,
the first of which was “Sanibel Flats.” His current book is “Deep Shadow.”
