Join Audrey Niffenegger on April 13th in celebrating National Bookmobile Day!
Audrey Niffenegger, Honorary Chair of National Bookmobile Day 2011 and acclaimed author of The Night Bookmobile and The Time Traveler’s Wife, is raising her voice in support of America’s Bookmobiles.
Bookmobiles are an integral and vital part of library service in the United States. For over 100 years, bookmobiles have delivered
information, technology, and resources for life-long learning to Americans of all walks of life.
Did you know:
- Bookmobiles provide many of the same services as your local library branch! You can search the Web, read a newspaper or magazine, take classes, or check out books and DVDs.
- Today’s bookmobiles are “green” vehicles that use less fuel and have cleaner emissions, and take many cars off the road by bringing the library’s resources directly to the communities they serve.
