Stop by
the
Southwest County Regional's
youth services area to check out the “Magical Masks” display
now through January, 2008.
Star-Moon Sister, Nabuki Girl, and Lakota Corn Mother are just
three of the nine masks currently displayed above the youth
services desk.
Local artist, Donna Burton, is the creator of
these colorful and imaginative pieces of art. She has maintained
a studio in Boca Raton, Florida for the past 22 years. Each ceramic mask
takes about 30 hours to make from start to finish. All masks are
ceramic and mixed-media. Donna uses
paint, fabric, beads, and feathers to create a unique
personality for each mask.
This display was made possible by Palm Beach County Art in
Public Places. |
