Are you afraid to fly? Is this stress
interrupting your plans this holiday season? Many people
agonize for weeks before
traveling by air and then have these feelings intensify the
closer they get to take-off.
According to the Anxiety Disorders Association
of America (ADAA), the fear of flying, or aviaphobia, is a
specific phobia which is a type of anxiety disorder.
Adults with phobias recognize their fear is excessive and
unreasonable, but they are unable to control it. People
with aviaphobia either avoid flying or it is anticipated with
dread.
Please join Dr. Stephen R. Blumberg, PH.D., a
licensed psychologist for insight into this anxiety, including
non-drug approaches to management. This free, one hour
program will be at the
Main Library on

include a Questions & Answers segment.
