Spanning two decades, the Great Depression and World War II, the four-term presidency of Franklin Delano Roosevelt remains one of the defining eras in American history. With his wife Eleanor’s steadfast support, he battled his own physical hardships to first revitalize the country’s economy and then to lead the U.S. and its allies in the fight against the oppression and terrors of Nazism and Fascism which were overtaking the free world.

The veteran acting and writing team of husband and wife, William and Sue Wills, return for the eighth year to present the compelling story of the Roosevelts. Going beyond the tumultuous events of their time, the Wills focus on their private lives and their loving relationships, which, in turn, defined their roles as President and First Lady.

This free, one-hour program is sponsored by the Friends of the Palm Beach County Library System. Due to space limitations, seating for this popular event will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
