March is National Craft Month. Most
of us "crafters" are aware of that fact. What you may not know
is that the Palm Beach County Library System has books on making
paper airplanes,
jazzy jars, and
raku
pottery. We also have books on
papermaking (what, Office Depot
is out of paper?),
pet crafts, and
pyrography.
There are always the old stand-bys:
knitting,
quilting,
cross-stitch,
flower arranging,
crocheting, etc. And no, identifying chocolate brands
blindfolded is not a craft - interesting - but not a craft!
Every month is craft
month in the children's department. Many of our children's story
times and holiday specials feature craft "make it and take it"
projects.
Come to the
library, browse in the arts and crafts sections,
check out a few titles, bring your children and grandchildren to
our children's programs, and get crafty. |
