The Business Librarian and Research Services staff at the Main Library can assist job seekers with their research needs. We offer materials and personal research services to help you make informed decisions. We have an extensive collection of business and consumer magazines, and newspaper and journal articles online.
Career Development
- Gives you an inside look at company reviews, interview questions, and salary information for thousands of companies.
- From the Federal Bureau of Labor Statistics. Describes what workers do on the job, working conditions, training and education needed, earnings, and expected job prospects in a wide range of occupations. You can search combinations of job and career information.
- U.S. Department of Labor - Wage and Hour Division provides: resources for workers, information about wages and salaries, state minimum wage laws, employment of workers with disablities, immigration, workers rights and more.

- This private, not-for-profit organization in Lake Worth provides therapeutic training programs, community job placement, employment, residential, recreational, and senior activity programs for people with mental, emotional, and physical disabilities. Includes career development, job placement services, and job coaching services.
- The Able Trust, also known as the Florida Endowment Foundation for Vocational Rehabilitation provides Floridians with disabilities opportunities for successful employment.

- Online learning with skill building modules, test preparation materials and practice exams; including test preparation E-books. Take practice tests for GED, SAT, FCAT, fire fighter, postal worker and many more. Learn techniques for job searching , resumes, interviewing and workplace skills.
- Peterson’s Career Prep database assists job seekers at all levels whether entering the workforce for the first time or searching for new opportunities. Create visually interesting résumés, cover letters, and personal websites that can be shared with prospective employers.
- Electronic directory of over 24 million U.S. businesses. Useful for job searching and contact information.
- Work one-on-one with professional tutors to get help with job searching, résumé writing, interview preparation and much more.
Local Agencies and Programs
- A private, non-profit organization that helps both Palm Beach County employers and job seekers.
- SkillUp® Palm Beach County from CareerSource is designed to help our region build a workforce that supports economic development. Job seekers can explore career pathways, view local job postings, register for free online learning, and receive workforce services. Take as many courses as you want for 180 days (6 months) at no cost to you. Anyone can create an account however, CareerSource requires you to set one up. For access: • Career Advisor - leave the option defaulted to none • Referral Location - select the Central Career Center • State ID - enter social security number
