2-1-1, a service of The Center for Information & Crisis Services, provides information, referral, crisis intervention, supportive counseling, and suicide intervention, by phone 24 hours a day/365 days a year.

The CHIS librarians do not write health information, except to provide brief descriptions of the website links. Instead, CHIS librarians find, select, and organize full-text consumer health information that is current, relevant, accurate, and unbiased.
To help us improve the site, we collect statistics about its usage. None of this information identifies individual users or associates individuals with the pages they visit. When inquiries are emailed to us, we store the question and the email address so we can respond electronically, if required. We may ask users to volunteer information for statistical purposes related to funding. This information is optional; our email service is not contingent on the user providing this information to us. This information is tabulated and quantified in the most general sense and does not identify individual users.
