New Branch Opens

The new Loula V. York Branch opened with a great celebration on Saturday, September 29.
 

Construction of the New Loula V. York Branch

These photos were taken during the construction continues on the new Loula V. York library in Pahokee during the spring of 2006.
 

Brown Bear and Friends

Storyteller Sally Leyenberger, of Pretend Party Productions, visited as Brown Bear with her forest friends Red Fox, Little Skunk, and Raccoon to share stories and songs. Kids brought their own teddy bear for a magical adventure.


Photos of Loula V. York Branch

Beautiful Loula V. York branch in Pahokee.  It was a gift from the U.S. Sugar Corp. in 1967 and opened as a city library in 1967. The Library became a county facility in October 1989. The land and building are owned by the County.
