AFTERHOURS @ Greenacres |
| the Greenacres Branch got a jump start on everyone Friday, May
30th by hosting AFTERHOURS, an event promoting the Young Adult Summer Reading
Frenzy. Set from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the event which included music, games,
a movie, door prizes, and food was opened only to teens. Our Young Adults (YAs)
had the opportunity to register for drawings, sign-up for the Reading Frenzy,
hang out or test their competitive spirit. And test their spirits they did with
"Spit" wars (a card game), computer scores, chess and checkers, and much, much
more. The evening revealed their computer savvy and confirmed the age-old adage
- pizza is their favorite diet staple. |

Baby Boot Camp |
| New and very
young recruits showed up at the Greenacres Library on November 20 for Baby
Boot Camp. Eager new soldiers as young as two years old were invited
to try on equipment, stand at attention, and play on a military vehicle.
The program was presented by soldiers from the local reserve. |
