Literacy Tutors and Students Honored in Belle
Glade
Literacy tutors and students gathered at the Belle Glade Branch
recently to celebrate their respective accomplishments. Tutors were rewarded for
the many hours they have devoted to teaching their students, and students were
recognized for the milestones they have reached in the long road to reading
proficiency. Special recognition went to volunteer tutor Cecelia Dowe, who has
been with the program for 13 years, since its inception.

Program Kick-Off Party
The Summer
Reading Program enrollment began with Kick-Off Parties at four locations.
We opened the doors with a fun-filled magic show featuring Mike Winters.
The party continued with crafts, face painting, and games for the whole
family.
