Outreach extends library
services to residents who are unable to come to the Library, or use
regular library materials. Access may be limited for a variety of
reasons, including age, disability, lack of transportation, or
distance from a branch library.
From our new facility in
suburban Lake Worth, Outreach provides a number of special services
for persons with disabilities and for adult non-readers. These
services include a Talking Book Service for the Blind and Physically
Disabled; a Books-by-Mail Service for the Homebound; and an adult
literacy tutoring program. The Bookmobile reaches out to
economically disadvantage children, seniors, and others who are
unable to get to a branch library.
