Palm Beach County Library System

Outreach Services

Outreach extends library services to residents who are unable to come to the Library, or use regular library materials.  Access may be limited for a variety of reasons, including age, disability, lack of transportation, or distance from a branch library.

From our new facility in suburban Lake Worth, Outreach provides a number of special services for persons with disabilities and for adult non-readers.  These services include a Talking Book Service for the Blind and Physically Disabled; a Books-by-Mail Service for the Homebound; and an adult literacy tutoring program.  The Bookmobile reaches out to economically disadvantage children, seniors, and others who are unable to get to a branch library.
