| Bi-focal Kits are available for loan to
institutions in the service area of the Palm Beach County Library
District, or those libraries which are part of the Library
Cooperative of Palm Beach County. Loan periods are for 30 days. The
Bi-focal Kits are activity kits which center around a time or topic
which has been a part of most people's lives. Each kit title begins
with the word "Remembering" and each program begins by doing just
that.
Each kit contains a
media presentation, music, poetry, humor and hands-on props. Pieces
of the kit can be used individually or together. The kits are
designed to stimulate memory, and encourage the sharing of
experiences and ideas.
The kits can be presented inter-generationally.
This offers the older person an opportunity to share the value of
their experience and wisdom. It offers the younger person a new
perspective on history, and on older persons as well.
The kits are for senior centers,
nursing homes, retirement homes, and other agencies and
organizations working with older adults. The following kits are
