Library Online Payment System FAQ
If you have fines and/or fees of more than $4.99, you may not borrow materials (including electronic resources such as Overdrive e-books), or place holds. Payments are immediately credited to your library account.
How does it work?
It's easy - you pay your fines and/or fees online using your credit card.

Is it safe?
Is it safe to use? Yes. Library servers are secure and use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) which is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between the library web server and your browser. Additionally the library never stores you credit card information.
How do I pay library fines and fees online?
Click My Account to login. Enter your library card number and PIN and click Log In. The icon on the Fines tab indicates outstanding fines and/or fees. Click on this tab to view the details.
To pay any or all of your fines and/or fees online click the Online Payment icon
For security purposes you will need to enter your library card number and PIN. Follow the instructions on the screen.
What forms of payment are accepted for online payments?
Visa, MasterCard and Discover.
Is there a minimum amount that can be paid online?
No. You may pay any of the fines and/or fees owed, however each individual fine and/or fee must be paid in full.
Can I choose to pay only a portion of a fine?
By default a checkmark will appear next to every fine and/or fee listed. You can uncheck items you do not wish to pay for. The total will be recalculated automatically. You cannot make partial payments on individual fines and/or fees.
Is a service fee charged when paying fines online?
No. There is no service fee for paying your fines and/or fees online.
How soon will my payment be applied to my account?
Payments made online are applied immediately to your account. Once you have paid your fines and/or fees down to a balance less than $4.99 you will be able to place holds and borrow materials.
Do I get a receipt when I pay my fines online?
When your transaction is completed a receipt will be displayed. You should print and save this receipt for your records. You can also copy/paste the receipt into an email for your records.
Will my credit card account information be saved?
No. The Library will not retain any of your credit card information.
What happens if I receive an error message or the transaction was declined?
If you receive an error message during the process, fines and/or fees will remain on your account.
You may visit any branch of the Palm Beach County Library System to make a payment by cash, check, or credit card at any of our branches, by check via the U.S. mail, or by credit card over the phone.
