Summer Reading Program: “Build a Better World”

The Summer Reading Program returns to the Palm Beach County Library System! All ages are encouraged to explore ways to “Build a Better World.” Sign up at any Palm Beach County Library System location or Bookmobile stop from Mon, Jun 05 – Fri, Jul 28 and begin earning and tracking points. Once completed, return your log or tracker to receive:

The U.S. Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs provides an online tool for travelers to fill out and print their passport application.

The Department of Veterans Affairs eBenefits webpage provides Service Members, Veterans, their families, and authorized caregivers with a single sign-on, central access point to clinical and benefits information.

The Palm Beach County Department of Community Services online application system allows users to apply for benefits including monetary assistance with paying rent and utility bills.

The United States Citizenship & Immigration Services provides up-to-date information about the application process for immigration benefits, tools to help you prepare for naturalization, and resources to find citizenship preparation classes and doctors in your local community.

The Social Security Administration provides online access to a variety of services including applying for benefits, requesting a replacement Social Security card, and printing benefit verification letters.

Florida's Online Reemployment Assistance System allows users to file a claim online for unemployment benefits.

The ACCESS Florida system allows users to apply for public assistance, including the Food Assistance Program, Temporary Cash Assistance Program, and Medicaid.

Design a Bookmark Contest Winners

In celebration of the 13th Annual Families Reading Together campaign, children ages 7-12 were invited to enter the Design a Bookmark contest. Entries were judged on artistic merit and how well it illustrated the theme of “Books and Reading.” Each winning design will be printed and distributed throughout the Library System.
