American Memory is a gateway to rich primary source materials relating to the history and culture of the United States. The site offers more than 5 million items from more than 90 historical collections.
American Time Capsule
Three Centuries of Broadsides and other Printed Ephemera from the Library of Congress.
A Compendium of Common Knowledge
Information about Elizabethan times for actors, writers, etc.
Encyclopedia Britannica's Guide to Black History
This site examines five centuries of black heritage through five distinct time periods, from the slave revolts of early America through the successes of the Civil Rights Movement. Each era is further divided by topic/profession, with biographies and photographs of notable people and descriptions and documents of historic events.
Florida Memory Project
The Florida State Archives Florida Memory Project provides a web-based structure for primary records that illustrates significant moments in the state's history, provides educational resources for students of all ages, and makes available collections useful for historical research.
Inaugural Addresses of the Presidents of the United States
A complete list of Inaugural Addresses from George Washington to George W. Bush.  It Includes mention of the five Presidents who were never inaugurated.

Envirofacts - from the Environmental Protection Agency
A large database of EPA data that can generate maps based on a variety of environmental criteria.
Federal Emergency Management Agency
FEMA's mission is to reduce loss of life and property and protect our nation's critical infrastructure from all types of hazards through a comprehensive, risk-based, emergency management program of mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery.
Greenpeace
The International web site for the famous environmental activist group.
Internet Recycling Guide
From About.com, this site contains information on recycling paper, plastics, scrap metal, automobiles, industry and more.
National Interagency Fire Center
The National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC),  consists of seven federal agencies that serve as a support center for wildland firefighting.  Statistics on wildland fires, information about safety and prevention of wildfires, and the cooperating agencies of the center are available.
Scorecard
The Environmental Defense Fund's community pollution scorecard identifies local chemical hazards.

South Florida Water Management
The official site concerning all things water-related with regards to the South Florida region.  News on water restrictions, rainfall amounts and much more.

World Wildlife Fund
Known worldwide by its panda logo, World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is dedicated to protecting the world's wildlife and wild lands. The largest privately supported international conservation organization in the world.
