Position: LIBRARY ASSOCIATE I (Circulation) (Part-Time)

Salary: $12.79 Per Hour
Department: Library/Branch Public Service/Gardens Branch
Hours: 20 Variable hours/week, including evenings and weekends 
Other: Ability to lift 50 pounds preferred.  Valid Florida Driver's License and PBC Risk Management Department driving history approval prior to appointment. 
Position temporarily assigned to Jupiter Branch.

Charges and discharges library materials to the public.  Registers borrowers; receives payment for overdue materials; resolves inquiries/complaints concerning the circulation of materials; shelves and retrieves library materials.  Processes library materials and links them to a computerized database.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of six (6) months of experience in library/general clerical work that involves extensive public contact OR 12-semester/18-quarter hours of college-level course work (must specify on application).

PREFERENCE FOR EXPERIENCE:  Using a library circulation system (must specify on application); working in a library/bookstore.
