Description
To meet the demands of the rapidly
growing West Boynton community, Palm Beach County Library System
expanded the West Boynton Branch Library in 2000. The expansion
added approximately 9,700 sq. ft. of public service space, which
provides room for additional and expanded services including:
- A larger Youth Services area;
three times larger than our current area
- Adult Programs
- A meeting room for 80 people
- A conference room
- 3 study rooms
- A large popular materials area -
twice the size of the current space
- 21 public access computers featuring the graphical Library Catalog, special Databases, or
Internet access clustered in different locations around the
library
- 6 public access computers for
word processing.
- 4 public access computers for word
processing
- A magazine and newspaper area with
comfortable chairs and a club-like atmosphere
- 1 additional check-out station to
speed up transactions
- 115 parking spaces plus shared
parking with the Son Life Lutheran Church
- Additional Sunday public service
hours
- Increased staffing for expanded
services and hours
- Renovations will meet the
Americans with Disabilities Act code
