Description
This Regional Library serves as the
neighborhood library to the West Boca Raton area, and as a "backup"
resource to the other neighborhood libraries in the South County
area.
The library circulates a large amount of
popular adult fiction, non-fiction and children's materials. A
deposit collection of Talking Books is housed at the branch.
Electronic resources available to the
public include access to full text magazine articles, newspapers and
a national telephone directory.
A newly developed young adult room
contains a collection of young adult fiction and a seating area.
Children may also take part in story times and other special
activities, such as Study Buddies.
History of the Branch
- Opened: September 1975, leased
1,459 sq.ft. in Sandelfoot Cove.
- Expanded: November 1981, leased
4,975 sq.ft. in Piccadilly Square.
- Opened Regional Library: November
1991, 24,000 sq.ft.
- A
one-acre cypress preserve is protected on the site.

The branch has one large meeting
room that seats 50 and a small conference room that seats 10.
These rooms must be reserved in advance by going to Reference desk
to get application form and check availability of the rooms.
