Description
The Palm Beach County Library System has
finished the expansion of the Jupiter Branch
Library. The branch grew from 10,000 square feet to 22,000 square feet, with an extension on each side of the
old building.
The expansion was needed due to the
heavy use of the old building and the rapid growth in the Jupiter area.
The expanded branch features:

Space to allow the collection to grow by 33%

An additional meeting room

3 additional study rooms
-
More than 20 public access computer stations, up
from 13

Double the amount of public seating
-
87 additional parking spaces

Increased staff
History of the Branch

Opened: October 1983, leased 1,950
sq. ft. in former Jupiter Town Hall.

Opened new library: March 1992,
10,000 sq. ft. county owned building.

Closed for Expansion Construction in February 2003. Opened in
September 2003 to 22,000 sq. ft.

rooms available to the public. Please call the branch to book
a room.

space for the public.
Service Area
East to the Atlantic Ocean, west past
the Turnpike, north to Loxahatchee River and south to Donald Ross
Road. Serves two high schools, one middle school, five elementary
schools, and two private schools.
