2/ Government Research Services

Since 1989, the Government Research Service Section (GRS) of the Palm Beach County Library System has responded to the research and information needs of public service staff and elected officials for the benefit of county, municipal and regional governments in Palm Beach County.

GRS maintains, indexes and updates the Palm Beach County Local Documents Collection at the Main Library. Also available for public use at the Main Library are Local Elections Files, containing news articles, election results, press releases and clip files dating back to the 1990 elections.

In addition to serving County employees, Government Research Service offers a wide range of resources for the public through their web site located at:
http://www.pbclibrary.org/grs.htm

Here is a sampling of the extensive range of links that GRS offers on their site:

E-Government Services - Links to government offices providing a variety of interactive forms and services via their web sites.

3/ Business and Finance @ your library

P/E ratios, "total quality management," the difference between a Bear market and a Bull market. Not quite sure what those things mean? Come to the library for a series of programs that will teach you the ins and outs of personal finance, career development, and how to start or improve your own small business.

Because business and finance are two of the hottest topics in our libraries, the Palm Beach County Library System has arranged close to fifteen different programs, at a variety of times and locations, to address our customers' needs. Several programs have already been presented; however there are eleven to come.
