What Is Reading Buddies?

Reading Buddies is a fun way to earn hours! Work one-on-one with K-5 students to improve reading comprehension. Reading Buddies is designed to give kids in grades K-5 extra reading practice one-on-one, or in a group setting, with a Teen Buddy. Each week, a child will be paired up with a Teen Buddy during a 45-minute session which includes 30 minutes of reading followed by 15 minutes of playing word-related games. Teen Buddies become role models and help teach children the importance and enjoyment of becoming lifelong readers
