Foundation Directory Online
Did you know that the Main Library now offers extensive grantseeker resources as a member of the Foundation Center Funding Information Network? This is one of only three locations in the county where you can go, at no cost to access the Foundation Center's Foundation Directory Online (FDO), along with lots of other resources. You'll find that the Foundation Directory Online database includes information on almost 108,000 foundations, corporate giving programs, and grantmaking public charities in the United States. Foundation Directory Online also has information on more than 4,000 corporate funders, over three million recently awarded grants, and keyword-searchable database of over one million grantmaker IRS Forms. You'll also find a useful mapping tool to pinpoint where grantmakers give the most. All of the information included in Foundation Directory Online has been gathered from IRS information, grantmaker websites, annual reports, and various other sources.
Access to FDO is currently available at the Main Library on Summit Boulevard. For more information, check out the Nonprofit Resources page on the website www.pbclibrary.org.
